We’re deep into summer, the longest night of the year has passed. Accents Records have been down in the basement and we’re excited to let you know what we’ve been up to.

For the first time: cassettes, cassettes, cassettes! Our latest release, ACCENTVA003, is going to be available in digital and cassette format. A defining goal of ours has been to support physical releases with handcrafted artwork (linocuts , drawings.…) so it’s an exciting moment for us. Being able to tie this with the inspiring and eclectic tracks in the release is what we’re about.

We’ve gone and collected challenging, left-field, forward thinking and weird sounds from across the world to seep in to your ears. Field recordings, dance music, breaks, dark techno and passion are spread across the release – this is going to be one to keep going back to. We’re excited to share this with you all and can only hope you feel as passionate as we do about the tracks!

This how we’re lining up:

On the A side, Rad Machine kicks us off. A talented Russian producer who has already realized tracks on система and Fuselab. He opens the album with a subtle field recording of urban landscapes that gently progresses into fog tinted break dub techno.

Abu Ama is a mysterious producer from Berlin, that continues the story with his personal and original signature. There’s large filtered kick beats, a low tempo and Chinese influences in this forward looking techno track.

Caldera, is a well known electronic producer from Brighton who has released music on Noorden, WNCL recordings, Riviera Club…‘Infinite Dawn’ is an 11 minute smashing of acid and contemplation. Something elegant and progressive, that mesmerises you. Monochrome is undoubtedly the colour to describe it.

Evitceles from Bulgaria has recently released an incredible album on Opal Tapes. His work is a precise mix of club music and experimental sounds, he pushes the listener in to the shadows with ‘Raven’. Something raw and deep, with a romantic melody, devil’s breaks. It’s perfectly balanced between darkness and light.

For the B side, we are glad to present Zeno Amsel from Houston, Texas. His last album was released on Lobster Theremin. He smashes it out the park with ‘Shimokitazawa’. This track is simply what we could call a tune, the melody and narration here are make it one to smash on the beach.

Fahmi Mursyid is an experimental artist from Indonesia. Here he evokes twilight colors on‘Löcher’. He went for a psychedelic approach using classical Roland 808 & 303 sounds combined with dreamy pads, just close your eyes and dance!

Saphileaum has already released tracks on Controlled Violence and Lett Records. He is an emerging artist from Tbilissi’s electronic scene, and here he invites you in to a shamanic and ritualistic mood. ‘Silence for seven days’ is a contemporary and tribal vision of deep techno music.

Vito Lucente is a pioneer in the Toronto Noise scene, behind his wonderful person hides a very good producer. ‘Pool of Tears’ is cinematic rather than contemplative and romantic, a positive and optimistic vision that is also hope and serenity infused, an absolutely perfect outro.
